Location: 3051 Stevens Creek Boulevard
A male suspect shoplifted $160.00 worth of clothing from Macy’s, at 3051 Stevens Creek Boulevard. The suspect was detained by a Macy’s Loss Prevention Officer and later issued a citation for petty theft from SCPD. The suspect was released at the scene.

Location: 2100 Block of The Alameda
A victim contacted Dispatch to report he was receiving a "GPS" signal from his stolen laptop on his cell phone. An officer met the victim and took the cell phone to a motel on the 2100 block of The Alameda where the signal appeared to be generating. The officers searched the motel room, which was occupied by one male and one female with a small child. A number of items were recovered that matched the description of the contents inside a stolen backpack. The victim positively identified the contents and was able to successfully log onto the laptop. The male suspect was arrested and transported to the County jail. During a search of his property, a fake $100 bill was located in the suspect’s wallet.

Location: 3000 Block of Bassett Street
An officer responded to an in-progress auto theft on the 3000 block of Bassett Street. The victim’s vehicle was parked in front of a business. At approximately 0005 hours, the victim noticed someone inside his vehicle and three additional suspects standing outside the vehicle. All of the suspects fled the scene and remain at large.

Location: Homestead Road and Los Padres Boulevard
A victim was attacked at the north/east corner of Homestead Road and Los Padres Boulevard and repeatedly punched and kicked in the face and head while multiple people watched and videotaped the assault. The video was later uploaded to the internet. The victim sustained minor visible injuries as a result of the attack.
Two of the four suspects were identified in the video. Suspect #1 was arrested for assault, likely to produce great bodily injury, and was transported to the County jail. Suspect #2 was cited for misdemeanor assault and battery. This case has been referred to the Detectives Bureau for follow-up.

An unknown suspect used a pry bar to gain entry into a business and stole property of high value. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival for the activated alarm.
