Drug Arrest
Benton Street and Pomeroy Avenue An Officer stopped a vehicle leaving Motel 6 for vehicle code violations. The female driver was under the influence of a controlled substance and had methamphetamine in her possession. She admitted to taking a rifle, which was in her possession, from a family member’s home. A consensual search turned up forged checks and counterfeit money.

The passenger in the vehicle was a convicted felon with parole violation warrants. Both subjects were arrested and taken to County jail.

Drug Arrest
3000 Block of El Camino Real Officers stopped a vehicle for not having license plates. The male driver agreed to a search of the vehicle which yielded a rifle (later determined to be a BB rifle) and multiple controlled substances. The suspect was arrested and transported to the County jail.

Monday, February 10, 2014

500 Block of Chapman Street Communications dispatched an Officer to the 500 block of Chapman Street for an illegally parked vehicle. The suspect’s car did not display the appropriate residential parking permit. A Records check revealed the vehicle was stolen.

3970 Rivermark Parkway A female suspect was observed by Safeway Loss Prevention personnel taking and concealing items from the store. When the suspect tried to exit the store, she was detained by Safeway Loss Prevention personnel who placed her under a private person's arrest. The merchandise was recovered and the suspect was cited by SCPD.

Suspicious Circumstances
2600 Block of Benton Street Eight City trucks were tampered with while parked in the gated and locked Parks Service Center on the 2600 block of Benton Street. The suspect(s) remain at large.

Indecent Exposure
Main Street and Reed Street An unknown suspect exposed his genitals to a victim on Main Street at Reed Street after following her from the El Camino Coin Wash on El Camino Real. The victim described the suspect as a Hispanic or Middle Eastern adult male, 26-27 years of age with a skinny build and approximately 5’11” tall. The suspect remains at large.

Stolen Vehicle
1300 Block of Hope Drive An unknown suspect stole the victim’s vehicle from the carport area of an apartment complex on the 1300 block of Hope Drive. The suspect remains at large.

1500 Block of Harrison Street A victim filed a theft report stating an unknown suspect stole two packages from a porch on the 1500 block of Harrison Street. The suspect remains at large.

Benton Street and Los Padres Boulevard The male suspect was soliciting vehicles at Benton Street and Los Padres Boulevard to purchase fruit without a business license to sell products in the City of Santa Clara. He was issued a citation and released.

Driving Under the Influence
Los Padres Boulevard and Royal Drive An Officer responded to the area of Los Padres Boulevard and Royal Drive to investigate a report of a roll-over traffic collision. Upon arrival, the Officer observed a vehicle at rest on its roof in the middle of the roadway. This vehicle had collided into a parked vehicle that was legally parked on the 2200 block of Royal Drive. The female suspect displayed symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol. She was placed under arrest prior to being transported to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Driving Under the Influence
Lafayette Way and Poplar Street At 0216 hours, Officers were dispatched to the area of Lafayette Way and Poplar Street for a vehicle that struck a tree. Upon arrival, witnesses stated the male driver and three other occupants (two female and one male) fled the scene of the accident.

At 0332 hours, the vehicle’s registered owner returned to his place of residence. Officers detained the suspect. The driver was arrested for hit and run property damage and driving under the influence. He was transported to the County jail.

Drug Arrest
3208 El Camino Real An Officer arrested a man for a $50,000.00 warrant at the Motel 6. The man was also in possession of a controlled substance. He was transported to the County jail.
