Driving Under the Influence
Location:
Monroe Street / Homestead Road
An officer stopped a motorist for a red light traffic violation. Upon contact with the female driver, the officer noticed signs of driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. The driver failed a field sobriety test. As a result, she was arrested and transported to the County jail.

Suspicious Circumstances
Location:
2851 Mission College Boulevard
A security officer at EMC2 contacted police after noticing a suspicious package located near the front entrance of the building. Security camera footage was reviewed. Officers contacted the Sheriff’s Office Bomb Technicians who responded. The objects were x-rayed and did not reveal any explosive characteristics. After determining the scene was safe, the package was opened. The items ended up being large cement blocks used at an event held at the company the previous day.

Drug Arrest
Location:
El Camino Real and Los Padres Boulevard
An officer stopped a motorist of a vehicle code violation. The male driver displayed symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance. During a consensual search of the person and vehicle, the officer located a controlled substance. The suspect was arrested and transported to the County jail.

Pursuit
Location:
Central Expressway at Lafayette Street
An officer was stopped near Lafayette Street and Central Expressway when he saw a vehicle driving at an excessive speed on Central Expressway. The officer tried to initiate a vehicle stop however the suspect accelerated away onto southbound Highway 101. Officers pursued the driver who slowed to the speed limit and pulled over. The male suspect was arrested without further resistance and transported to the County jail. The vehicle was towed.

Burglary
Location:
2200 Block of Crocker Way
A neighbor witnessed two males dressed in dark clothing enter a residence on Crocker Way. Knowing the resident was away the individual contacted Dispatch realizing a burglary was probably occurring. Officers arrived, established a perimeter and began a K-9 search for the suspects. SCPD’s Special Response Team and police negotiators were deployed, along with support from Sunnyvale DPS and the Sheriff’s Office. The suspects were located, with property in their possession, from a recent car burglary in the area. Both juveniles were booked into Juvenile Hall.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon
Location:
4500 Block of Stevens Creek Boulevard
Officers responded to an assault call in the 4500 block of Stevens Creek Boulevard. The victim sustained several stab wounds to his arm and abdomen and was transported to a local hospital to receive medical care. An image of the suspects was obtained. The investigation was forwarded to the Detective Bureau for follow-up.

UPDATE - On November 24, 2013, two males were causing a disturbance in the 4500 block of Stevens Creek Boulevard. The responding officer noticed the males looked similar to the suspect in the stabbing. The suspects were arrested and booked at Juvenile Hall.

Vehicle Theft
Location:
El Camino Real and Los Padres Boulevard
A juvenile suspect was located in the parking lot of 2320 El Camino Real driving a stolen vehicle. He was arrested and released to his father. The stolen vehicle was recovered undamaged.
