Officer Wurdinger stopped a vehicle after the driver failed to stop at a red light. Upon further investigation, the intoxicated driver was arrested for DUI.

Tuesday, August 21st, 2012

Warrant Arrest
3600 Block of Pruneridge Ave.
Officers responded to a disturbance inside an apartment where the husband slapped, punched and poured water on his wife. When she tried dialing 9-1-1, the suspect grabbed and kept the victim’s phone. Medical attention was not needed. The suspect was arrested for domestic violence when he returned home. He was booked into County Jail.

Drug Arrest
Highway 880 and Bascom Ave.
Officer Enos stopped a vehicle when the driver failed to signal properly. The driver’s license was suspended, and she was determined to be under the influence of drugs. Her passenger was found to be in possession of narcotics. Both women were arrested and booked into County Jail.

1900 Block of Filmore St.
Several hours after leaving her house, the victim returned and discovered her home had been burglarized. The suspect had forced open the front door, ransacked the bedrooms then fled with jewelry.

Fraud Arrest
: Lincoln St and Fremont St.
Lt. Cole stopped a motorist for using a cellular phone while driving. The driver was on parole, and a search of the vehicle uncovered numerous stolen items. Officers also located personal identity information belonging to victims who did not know the suspect. The suspect was arrested for possessing stolen property and identity theft charges. He was booked into County Jail

2100 Block of Tasman Ave
The victim interrupted two suspects stealing items from the bed of his truck. As they fled, one suspect threw an object at the victim while the other suspect swerved his vehicle towards the victim. The suspect’s vehicle collided with another parked car before leaving the area.

Shooting into Residence
2100 Block of Pasetta Ave.
The resident reported three bullet holes through their apartment wall had appeared while no one was home. The rounds penetrated the front wall and ceiling. Officers responded to the area to search for evidence.

Warrant Arrest
1700 Block of Market St.
Officers Gerbrandt and Nguyen contacted two suspects associated with a shoplifting incident from the previous week. The female suspect was arrested for outstanding warrants. The male suspect fled on foot, however he too was arrested when other officers located him several blocks away. Both suspects were booked into County Jail.

Possession of Stolen Property
Portola Ave and Sherman Ave
Officer Higgins stopped a bicyclist who possessed numerous stolen credit cards. The cards belonged to victims whose business was previously burglarized. The suspect was arrested for possessing stolen property and booked into County Jail.

Drug Investigation
1500 Block of Alviso St.
Officer M. Crescini contacted two subjects near a parked vehicle. With the assistance of a Police Service Dog trained in narcotics detection, a substantial amount of cash was located inside the vehicle. The owner was unable to explain the money. The investigation is on-going.

Security personnel reported a person acting suspiciously. Officer Torke investigated. The suspect was arrested for prowling and possession of burglary tools. He was booked into County Jail.

Domestic Violence
2700 Block of Mission College Blvd.
Officers responded to a disturbance between an unmarried couple inside their hotel room. During the investigation, officers determined the female suspect struck her boyfriend in the face. Medical attention was not needed, and the suspect was arrested for domestic violence.

A citizen reported a male causing a disturbance in a parking lot. Officer Schneider detained the described subject, then arrested him for cocaine possession. He was later booked at County Jail.
