PAL Family Fun Day
Posted Date: 5/17/2012

Date & Time: Saturday, May 19, 2012, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
Location: Bob Fatjo Sports Complex, Central Park, 909 Kiely Blvd, Santa Clara

The public is invited to PAL Family Fun Day at Santa Clara’s Central Park. Hosted by the Santa Clara Police Department’s Police Activities League (PAL), this event is a fundraiser geared to everyone in the family. Parents and children of all ages are welcome to join in the fun with games, activities, and food booths. Sports related vendors will be available and there will be prize giveaways and a silent auction.

Special guests scheduled to appear include San Jose Sharks mascot Sharkie, and Sourdough Sam of the San Francisco 49ers. A Police Department D.A.R.E. vehicle will be on display, and guests can enjoy an inflatable slide and obstacle course, as well as a softball “hit-a-thon.”

Santa Clara PAL has brought neighborhood children and families together with volunteers in a positive setting for forty years. PAL is a nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching our youth the values and rewards that can be accomplished through self-determination, teamwork and respect for others. Proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to help provide equipment, uniforms and insurance to its sports programs. The goal of PAL is to provide sports activities at a low cost to all children.

Anyone with questions about the event should call Santa Clara Police Officer and PAL Director Bill Davis at (408) 615-4882.
